Anna Chu is an exceptionally gifted and accomplished fashion stylist whose acute awareness of
period, style trends and detail informs every project she undertakes, enabling her to transform
the ordinary into the extraordinary.
Born and raised in Florence, Italy, Chu attended the world-renowned Art Institute of Florence.
As a young stylist, she drew inspiration from the eccentric art and fashion that characterized the
fi lms of Fellini, Kubrick, Taran . no and Lynch. She developed a deep understanding of how subtle
choices in wardrobe, accessories, hair and make-up combine to create a fi nal powerful image.
Shortly after graduating from the Art Institute, Chu embarked upon her career as a stylist in
New York City. Her clientele grew to include Vanity Fair, Elle, and GQ. She also collaborated with
directors William Friedkin, David LaChapelle, Diane Martel, and Jeremy Charbit.
Chu has served as fashion consultant for the television series Dueño del Paraiso, and Al otro
Lado del muro. Her profound understanding of fashion and art, along with her passion for her
craft have led photographers and filmmakers to consult her in their work with notable
celebrities, including Beyonce, Brad Pitt, Colin Farrell, Iggy Pop, Laura Dern, Ashton Kushner and
Isabella Rossellini.
Chu also enjoys sharing her expertise with the many young stylists and costume designers she
has mentored. She is unique in the range and depth of her fashion knowledge and sensibility, as
well as in the innovative vision she brings to every new endeavor.
